Lady GaGA

We promised to bring you a round up of the best and the worst outfits from last nights Brit Awards, but for us there is really only one person we want to talk about today, the fabulous Lady Gaga. Not only did she win awards for International Female Artist, International Breakthrough Act and International Album, she stood out from all the other performers with her outrageous outfit and fabulous stage set.  Her live performance knocked spots off some of the other artists (although Florence and Dizzi were amazing) and we loved her tribute to Alexander McQueen.

Her unique style and creativity are a massive inspiration to us and we can’t wait to see her when she tours Britain later this month.

We also like the fact that she remains somewhat of a mystery and doesn’t give much away about her private life. In a time when we feel like we know what our favourite celebs are eating for breaksfast, perhaps a little secrecy is a good thing.

It seems we are not the only ones inspired by Lady Gaga’s style. Chinese photgrapher Weiking Lu has created a series of Lady Gaga outfits for his Barbie dolls. The miniature outfits are all based on her stage outfits and Lu hopes to mass produce them to sell world wide. Check them all out on the very weird but strangely compelling blog, MyDisguises.com.

Eillie Goulding

Remember we told you about Ellie Goudling a while ago?  The BBC recently picked her out as the top of their Sound of 2010 list and cite her as one of the most exciting emerging artists for the coming year.

We love her down to earth attitude (she says jogging is her only addiction!) and unique sound. Her new single Starry eyed is completely addictive and we just cant stop listening to it. It looks pretty fab too and we feel a bit of a starry make up trend coming on !!

The track was produced by Goulding’s pal Starsmith (aka Finlay Dow-Smith), who’s also done remixes for Lady Gaga and Paloma Faith. Ellie is set to  pick up the Critics Choice awards at the Brit Awards in February, where she will also perform. All this before her new album Lights is even released on March the 1st .
You go girl!
