Fancy a bit of Friday fun?! We’re hooked on Jerzify Yourself, which will transform you into the fist-pumping, fake-tanned characters from Jersey Shore! Hot on the heels of our favourite guilty TV pleasure comes Geordie Shore, a programme set in Newcastle which promises to be just as OTT. Looks like we haven’t seen the end of the fake tan!

Scroll down to see some of Marketing team as you’ve never seen them before!

Just when we thought our trashy TV days were over (RIP the Hills and the City, sniff sniff!) along comes ‘The Spindustry’ a fly-on-the-wall look at the celeb PR industry and produced by the biggest reality celeb of them all, Kim Kardashian.
Expect a lot of drama, a lot of silliness and a lot diva antics from the folks in LA-LA-land. Fantastic!

Spindustry is on E4

Vicki, our Product Marketing Manager, took us on a behind-the-scenes tour of our latest series of TV adverts, scheduled to show over this Autumn/Winter. Our boots collection advert debuted today, watch it below & read on for the lowdown behind the scenes...

The date for the shoot kept changing because of the Pope’s visit to the UK, it seemed like he was shadowing our journey up to Scotland which was a bit spooky. On the recce to scope out the location it was pouring with rain, which in shoot terms is as bad as it can get! Soaking wet models and misted-up cameras aren’t the best start to a shoot so we had to try and brainstorm some alternatives and see how we could work round it.

Our first two TV ads we did on George Street in Edinburgh, there were two different locations a really cool bar and hotel for that party atmosphere. All the extras you’ll see in the advert are store staff from around the Edinburgh area, which worked really well, they looked so glam and gorgeous. At 9pm the shoot finished and we rushed off towards Glasgow and got to our hotel at midnight, with a 6am start the next day; who ever said that photoshoots were glamourous?! One of the upsides was that we were staying near Loch Fyne which is absolutely beautiful as you can see from the pictures.

Our new TV ad debuted this morning announcing 20% off dresses! We were so excited we all bundled into our press room to catch the first screening and even got to watch a little Deal or No Deal beforehand, bonus! If you fancy grabbing yourself a bargain just shop dresses and grab yourself a fab summer frock.

If you haven’t yet tuned into this cult reality/spoof show on Sky One, you must set your Sky box, alarm clock and alert on your phone right now, for Sunday night at 6pm. It’s a ‘must see’, if you are a lover of camp, dance and all things show biz.

We LOVE Louie and are thinking of signing up for some dance classes, just so that we can meet him. He is going to be huge star!

Check out his blog and follow him on Twitter.

Lady GaGA

We promised to bring you a round up of the best and the worst outfits from last nights Brit Awards, but for us there is really only one person we want to talk about today, the fabulous Lady Gaga. Not only did she win awards for International Female Artist, International Breakthrough Act and International Album, she stood out from all the other performers with her outrageous outfit and fabulous stage set.  Her live performance knocked spots off some of the other artists (although Florence and Dizzi were amazing) and we loved her tribute to Alexander McQueen.

Her unique style and creativity are a massive inspiration to us and we can’t wait to see her when she tours Britain later this month.

We also like the fact that she remains somewhat of a mystery and doesn’t give much away about her private life. In a time when we feel like we know what our favourite celebs are eating for breaksfast, perhaps a little secrecy is a good thing.

It seems we are not the only ones inspired by Lady Gaga’s style. Chinese photgrapher Weiking Lu has created a series of Lady Gaga outfits for his Barbie dolls. The miniature outfits are all based on her stage outfits and Lu hopes to mass produce them to sell world wide. Check them all out on the very weird but strangely compelling blog, MyDisguises.com.

2010 Brits

Tomorrow night we will be firmly glued to the tv for what seems to be a bit of girl fest, at the annual Brit Awards! Pixie lott, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Marina and the Diamonds and Ellie Goulding are all up for awards, with Lily Allen, Cheryl cole, Florence and the Machine performing.

The Brits

Lets not forget about the boys, Calvin Harris, Dizzee Rascal, Mika, Paolo Nutini, Robbie Williams are all nominated and Robbie Williams, Jay Z, Dizzy Rascal and the gorgeous JLS will perform. Our favourite northern comedian Peter kay is presenting the show.

We’ll be back with an update of the best and worst outfits later in the week. Let us know what you think?

The Brits - Tuesday 8pm ITV

We are not quite sure we are ready for the emotional rollercoaster that a weekly viewing of Skins provides. Season 4 starts tomorrow night on E4 and we can’t wait to catch up with Pandora, JJ, Thomas, Freddie, Cook, Katie, Emily and our favourite style crush Effy. We really hope things work out between Emily and Naomi, would love to see Katies character develop more and could do without quite so many love triangles in this series (if you are listening, Skins writers?)
New characters include, Georgia Henshaw (remember her from Angus, Things and Perfect Snogging?) as Lara, who plays JJ’s girlfriend  and Ben Evans as Sam, who is best known as Charley in the BBC sitcom High Hopes.
That’s Thursday night sorted for the next 8 weeks then!

We are big Eastenders fans here at NL Towers and have been hooked on the ‘Who killed Archie?’ storyline, over Christmas. Who do you think did it?
The new Eastenders spin off E20 starts tomorrow and is online every night at 8.30 until February. Did you spot the characters being introduced on Tuesdays episode, very subtle!!

Teenagers Zsa Zsa Carter, Fatboy, Leon Small and Mercy Olubunmi come to the square to escape their families. The episodes have been written by 13 new London writers aged between 17 and 22 who attended a summer school where they created and wrote the online drama.

The programme makers also ran a competition to create the dramas theme tune, by pairing up with BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and Asian Network to offer remixers, DJs and music fans a unique opportunity to become part of EastEnders history by remixing the iconic theme for E20.
BTW we are liking the look of Leon!!

Ok it’s official, January is the month to stay at home, plonk yourself on the sofa in your jim jams and slippers and watch lots and lots of TV. Lets face it, it’s too damn cold to go anywhere and with so many fab new series starting, why would we want to anyway.

We are slightly over excited about the new series of 90210 starting tonight at 9pm on E4, then E20 the Eastenders online spin off, starts on Friday (more of this later in the week) and the truly fabulous comedy/drama Glee premieres on E4 on Monday the 11th of Jan.

Take a look at the Glee trailor and set your Sky box (as you are sure to want to watch it more than once!!) The programme has stormed the US TV ratings and has over 8 million fans, who call themsleves ‘Gleeks.’ It has been called the best new show of last year in the US and has had two hit albums, featuring artists such as Amy Winehouse, Kayne West and Rihanna.
