Sweet indie romance 500 Days of Summer charted the burgeoning relationship of a young couple, but this time the trailer has been recut into something altogether more creepy. With tense music and even tenser drama all that remains to ask is ‘when can we see it?!’

Check out our favourite Mancuian model Agyness Deyn trying her hand at acting in her big screen debut, Mean To Me .

Starring alongside Linus Roache, in a film noir by artists David McDermott and Peter McGough,  Agyness plays a spurned lover who plots revenge against her sugar daddy.

Not only does she look amazing, she’s pretty good at acting too. Some people just have it all!!

We have always been big fans of the weird and wonderful Tim Burton’s work, and his latest film, Alice in Wonderland due for release on the 5th of March in the UK, looks like it certainly won’t disappoint. Starring, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway, this epic 3D fantasy adventure is not only a great story it is also a visual feast, with amazing sets and incredible costumes.

And check out that make up, does it look a little bit Luella S/S 2010 to you?

We thought on this cold and dreary winters morning, you might be feeling the January blues, so here is a little something to bring a little excitement/glamour into your life.  SATC 2 is released in May this year, and by the look of the trailor will be just as fabulous and full of gorgeous clothes, shoes and accessories as the first film. We can’t wait!!

Carey Mulligan

An Education, has to be one of our favourite films of 2009. A must see girly film, it’s out on DVD next March. The relatively unknown Carey Mulligan plays 16 year old schoolgirl Jenny, who falls for 30 something David. He exposes her to a glamorous world away from the confines of her suburban home and ultra conservative parents. Jenny grows into a sophisticated women of the world, who questions who she is, and what she wants from life. Set in the early 1960′s, Carey’s charm, elegant style and gamine looks have seen critics compare her to Audrey Hepburn, and she is set to be nominated for a best actress awards at the Oscars.

Currently filming a re-make of the Wall St the 1980′s blockbuster Wall StreetWall St 2: Money Never Sleeps, also stars Shia Le Beouff as Gordon Gecko and is out in April next year. We  think Carrie Mulligan is an actress to watch out for in 2010

We are beyond excited that the second in the Twilight series, New Moon, is out today. If like us, you are more than a little obsessed, you might want to buy these Limited Edition Edward and Bella dolls, which are out on December the 12th.

Just how cool is Joan Jett in this video. That hair, those clothes, that song, it’s making us want to form a band, get a new haircut and wear a leather catsuit. And it seems we’re not the only ones. Check out our favourite vampire lover Kirsten Stewarts new mullet. She’s set to start as 70′s rock and roller Joan Jett in a film about about her life in the movie, The Runaways, due out next year.

If you are a fan of period dramas, you are going to love Jane Campions new film Bright Star which opens tomorrow. It looks like the perfect combination of drama, romance and beautiful period costumes. Starring Abbie Cornish and Ben Wishaw, the film tells the true story of the poet John Keats and his first love Fanny Brawne.

There is also an exhibition featuring the films stunning costumes, by designer Janet Patterson, at Keats House in Hampstead, North London, which runs until November the 22nd. We can feel a Bonnet moment coming on!

Alice fianl

Tim Burton is well known for producing visually stunning fantasy films and it looks like the his version of Alice in Wonderland, due out in March 2010 is no exception. Starring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helen Bonham Carter as the Red Queen (doesn’t she always dress like that?) and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, the costumes and make up look amazing and are defiantly inspiring our outfits for Halloween. But our absolute favourite has to be Matt Lucas as Tweedledum and Tweedledee. Which reminds us, we really must get some stripy tights.

Tim Burton also has a retrospective coming up at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, which opens on the 22nd of November and runs until April 2010. To celebrate the opening he has inspired the November issue of Harpers Bazaar and collaborated with photographer Tim Walker to produce a magical Halloween fashion shoot based on his film characters.

Gothic glamour just looks so right, don’t you think?

New moon

We are also huge fans of Twilight and can’t wait to see New Moon which opens in the Uk on the 24th of November. We are currently hooked on channel fours True Blood, and are  planning trips to the cinema to see The Vampires Assistant and Jennifer’s Body. So you could say we are a little Vampire obsessed at the moment. Dark, sinister and with more than their fair share of sex appeal the current crop of vampire movies and tv shows are inspiring a fabulous glam/goth look that we just cant get enough of.
Check out the pic on the top left from Teen Vogue. How cute is that look? (and that boy!).

If you are a fan of horror films, you are going to love Paranormal Activity, the latest low budget movie to come out of the US. Despite the fact it was only shown on 160 screens across the US, it took $7 million at the box office on its first weeknd.

Made on a budget of only $15,000 the makers were nervous about the reception it would receive and initially let university students see it for free. They then asked them to vote online if they liked it, and promised to release it when 1 million people had voted. Clever !

The film is made mostly on a hand held camcorder and is about a young couple who have just moved into their fitst home in San Diego. The become convinced that a demonic presence lurks in their bedroom and decide to set up a video camera to watch it!!

It isn’t released in the Uk in November (although we are hoping it may be sooner due to it’s success) but you can watch the trailor below. Check out the audience reaction. We can’t wait!!
