Trend Alert: clogs and kittens

This week we have thinking about Summer footwear. We know it seems ever so slightly insane when its minus something outside. But a girl has to fantasise when faced with yet another day of Uggs or Wellies. So we have been browsing our favourite pics from the Spring/Summer collections and have noticed two big emerging footwear trends, wooden clogs and kitten heels.

Kitten heels, I hear you scream, isnt it just five minutes since we were wearing them the first time round? Well, sorry ladies, this is the fickle world of high fashion, and you should know better. These are the new kitten heels (keep up, please!!) They are an entirely new shape (well, a bit thinner) and the most interesting ones have incorporated an ever so slightly clog look, as well.

The clogs are clumpy and very hard and wooden, but very very comfortable (yes, even the very high ones). We have a pair of the Swedish Hasbeens and we promise, that unless you kick you own ankle (not advisable) or fall off them (again not a good look) they are really easy to walk in.

So, in short, this summer if you are a fashionista, you will be wearing wooden footwear of one sort or another. If you are uber cool you will combine the clog and the kitten heel (in the way that our favourite label Marni did) and wear a Klig or a Cloggen, or you can even make your very own name up for them.
